I love vinyl letters, and have a few in my home. I personally love the laundry wall vinyl that says Laundry Room, Wash, Fold, Repeat. That would look great on an empty wall in our laundry room.

And i love the laundry bin labels..too bad I don't have bins like that.

Oooh, I would put the words "Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow." in my kids bathroom!

I might use them on my mirror above the fire place mantle.

I'd be inclined to put a phrase down the hallway wall. Picture frames in the hallway are so.. normal. :) Picture frames are in my hallway, but some 'words' would be awesome!!

My friends & family are probably getting tired of reading all the walls in my house, but I can't resist entering.

Timi said...

I used the vinyl lettering to embelish my ugly 1970's brown brick fire place that I painted white that looked like crap until I put the vinyl monogram on it.
I liked it so well that I had a sheet of all different size monograms made. Then I pasted them on everything! Hey,I should put a monogram on my vintage metal lawn chairs. How cute would that be? I just thought of that while typing. I'm going to go assess that right now!
Thanks for yet another great idea! Your rock!!!!!

I think it would be interesting to define a space on a wall with a border/frame, and then fill it. Think of a child's art tacked inside a space with a frame or saying around it. You could use blue tack (that pliable stuff to hang papers with) inside the frame, and when it's time to change art, just pluck it off.

I am a sucker for anything sentimental. Love the words.

Oh, I am so excited about this one. I've already talked my hubby into giving me the money if I don't win. He is actually thinking about using some of these in the youth area at church....more youthy, of course, but since they are custom...you can get anything. He's thinking along the lines of some of the things they have been studying.

hugs and please, randomly pick me....please (in my best non-whiney voice).

Well if my 13 year old was entering this, he would just want a plain old sign that said, "Fart" and then stick it up in our bathroom somewhere...yeah, he already did this with wood letters, I blogged about it, too funny.

Me, on the other hand, would probably want something more tasteful like my monogram and a year for our marriage or something very, very boring like that.

If we had his and her closets, it would be nice to have a His and Her sign, but we don't, so scrap that idea, too...

Thanks for the contest!!!

Bella :)

If this is vinyl lettering... there's so much you can do with it! When I worked as a graphic artist for a t-shirt company... they made huge signs for racetracks with these... and you probably see the Calvin and Hobbes ones flipping various people off... or peeing on Ford... or even praying. So... indoor, out door... so many uses!

One thing I say when I am praying is Lord help me to see people as their potential and not what or where they are now. I get so frustrated sometime with people while working in my "customer service" job that I need help remembering to love people like Christ loves us. Looking toward their potential like Christ does us. I also pray it for my husband (he's unsaved) and for myself (I am lacking in so many ways-lol!). So it would be neat on a mirror to put "See the potential.."!

Anyways - creative things to do with vinyl:

How about birth signs with baby's name, date, weight...

Address "plaques" for out front

How about monograms for dining room chair backs

How about custom decals for decorating our pumpkins.

So many fantastic ways to use vinyl!

I LOVE THESE THINGS!

I have one on my front door- that says: "Welcome, Sit, Stay Awhile"

You can see it here: http://thesouthernfamily.blogspot.com/2008/10/rest-of-halloween-story-decor.html

I have more waiting for me to put up, like a way cool growth chart and cute sports things for my son. I am waiting to see if we will be moving first, before I use them!

hey there. better late than never, right? looks you and em had a great week together - so jealous i can't be a sister, too. haha. anyway, so, yes, i think i'd love to use these words on my walls and doorframes somewhere. i've always wanted to paint words in my house, but i hate my handwriting, and i know i wouldn't like it if i tried painting the words myself. so, yes, that may not be very original, but probably what i would choose to do with them!

Wow, loving this. I have so many places I could use the letters: in the mudroom over each kids hook, in the garage for each person's sporting equipment, in the kiddies bedrooms, etc.

I love that stuff! I thought of you yesterday while at Hobby Lobby- they were clearance-ing all sorts of AWESOME trims in HUGE quantities at BIG discounts! I bought several for future projects- possibly tassels! ;) Nay---way easier to buy from you!

I would put my last initial on a board/wood real big, and our first names on top of that.

I've been trying to work up the courage to paint on my wall for weeks! I fell in love with a sign that said, "For He so loved the world" but it was too expensive for me. When I went back to splurge, it was GONE!

I love these signs - I'd love one!

I once saw these type of vinyl words on glass block tiles. It was beautiful on a table top with a light shining from behind. Go Red Sox~

One of my favorite ideas is to put sayings on mirrors, It really makes a boring mirror more interesting, also hung glass, like an old barn window. Love it!!

I have a large window above my front door, and I saw a house with an initial on that window and it looked great. I think that is what I want to do.

I'm going to place my word on the front door--Welcome. Great ideas for this, thanks for sharing a reputable Christian company.
