Cozyness

600 thread count pure white sheets on sale at Target.
The softest blanket my gift card could buy.

I'm happy to climb in bed every night in November.
What little things make you happy?

Are they on sale now? I need an extra pair and I am SUPER picky about soft sheets. It makes me so happy to get in my all white bed at night too. LOVE IT! A good book also makes me happy...and finding time to read it.

There is nothing like super soft sheets..especially right out of the dryer!
Fresh fruit makes me soo happy. I am munching on a happy crisp pear right now.

Good Morning, Nester,
My favorite thing is.....a hot shower. Nothing beats it in my book and I thank the Lord every time I am able to indulge. :)

PS LOVE my tassels!!

koehmstedt said...

I am a bedding nut, so anything soft, warm and neutral coloring is great.

Good Morning Nester.
Being home makes me happy. It was raining yesterday and after I ran my errands it felt so nice to just come home. Where it is dry, and comfortable. :o)
Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne
Ps. Taking care of my family goes hand in hand with that. :o)

Seeing my giant puppy look longingly out the window waiting for Daddy to come home. I don't know why, it just gives me warm fuzzies! Oh, and being able to wear sweaters finally! : )

A clean and soft bed it's defibitely the best! Great find! :) Vanessa

Oh I'm with you on that one. We have a big fluffy comforter and I love to snuggle down with Hubby at night. And I agree with ncjill on the hot shower.

But maybe I should come up with my own thing....I love to settle down with a hot cup of mint tea. Yum.

Cuddling on the couch, with mt honey and a blanket!

I'll let my sis know, she's a stickler for higher thread counts!

Sandy Toes said...

That would make me happy! But, I love a great, flat, feathery pillow...I take it on all trips! But, I am all about it being "soft"!

Nothing is finer music to my ears than when my honey wakes me up with....
"Jen, I brought you some coffee."
Doesn't matter what kind, I am not picky, but typically it's something he just had to grind the beans for. :)

Gina @ Six in the Country said...

Don't ya love that "new sheet" feeling? Snuggling up in bed is my favorite winter pasttime!

Tina said...

I love climbing into a cool crisp bed and finding my husbands warm feet across the sheets and soaking up the warmth with my cold feet. He lets me, God love him.

Lisa said...

Oh, my list could go on and on. I love my rose quilt on the bed. I love my Yankee candles, my glass mugs full of chai tea lattes, reading my Bible by the fireplace, and snuggling next to my husband and kids on lazy Saturday mornings. :) These are in no particular order, of course!

Krissy said...

It doesn't take much to make me happy. Some on my list are books, my computer, hot coca on a chilly day, and my loving husband who found Sunkist Cherry Limeade in the big bottles so I can have a 'Sonic' Cherry Limeade ANY. TIME. I. WANT! LOL

Pretty Organizer said...

A new candle... love the ones with citrus and spice smells! Mmm... I don't mind cleaning house all day if I can stick around and smell my cozy house.

Katie said...

They're on sale now?? I've got to go.

Cuddling up with my little chihuahua in my super comfortable bed makes me happy.

What makes me happy!? My heated mattress pad.

Never again will I slip into my cozy bed in the wintertime, and be cold!

It's always warm, as if I've been in bed all night!

You should try one!!

Ahhh....flannel sheets and an electric blanket; cozy warmth in the winter! :-)

My down comforter and my 26 year old, lime green blankie. I know, 'little girlish' of me but I LOVE it.

Oh yeah and those heavy x-ray bibs they put over you when you go to the dentist. They make me want to fall asleep.

Susan said...

Easy. Baby in sleeping bed, cleaning completed, me on my couch, a deep sigh, and a glass of wine next to me.

The unquestioned love of the Lord which is always there -- boundless and eternal. An unexpected call from someone I love and haven't seen in a long time. The fact that my husband is a strong Christian and has the same values I have in addition to having a great sense of humor. Live, laugh, love. It's all there. :-)

Lately I'm loving my Yankee Home Sweet Home candle lit in the chilly evenings!!! Also kettle corn and caffeine free diet coke, and having my kids home on track out from school (year-round school)! Love the color of blanket and pillow you chose...looks very Restoration Hardware :)...so pretty!

Aubrey said...

Whew, I'm so glad you gave us a number since I am so literal and kind of slow and had no idea what crossed the line between high and low thread count. I was wondering if 1000 was enough, and now I know I can save a little money. All $5. Maybe if I buy new ones, I should wash them more than once a month (or sometimes more infrequently)? I WARN people I'm a bad housekeeper and they just don't believe me. Like right now it's no big mystery (for once) why my house smells like poop, since my boys' diapers are hanging to their knees. I TRIED training the older one! Maybe I can bribe him with high thread count sheets. And the promise to wash them once a week.

Chris said...

The fact that you and I have the same throw pillows. Now THAT'S happiness for me. ;)

Meredith said...

right now my pumpkin bread candle makes me happy.

I love new soft sheets. Those are pretty.
I know how you love some home project pics....so, you'll have to come see some of my projects over at my site. I'd love to have ya! I just painted my bedroom the other day and accessories are soon to be put up. My mom bought me some vintage plates for my wall, they're darling. I thought of you loving plates when she gave them to me. I'll try to post some pics. of them today so you can see how sweet they are.
Have a wonderful day Nester!!-Katy

i'm a sheet lover too. i sometimes change my sheets 2 times a week. but i also eat in my bed so that's part of the reason.

The red wall behind our bed (which turned out so streaky and imperfect but I left it and now I love it!), the smell of apple pie baking, and having my husband home... mastering a hard section of music, seeing a student get excited when she plays well, running personal bests.

Great question, Nester! I think I need to go post a picture of that red wall now. :)

I'm just thankful for cooler weather - I'm literally a better person in cold weather! :)

hummmm, I would have to say fresh flowers. My husband says it's a waste of money, they only last a week or so. I think it's cheap therapy. Now days it's so easy, I just put them in my cart at the grocery store, it does something for me. Knowing that those six dollars worth of daisies are just for ME, to make ME smile when I pass by them in the kitchen, to make ME happy when I brush my teeth at night. I always put them in places that I will see regularly in my day. How can I have a stinky attitued when that fresh daisy face is smiling up at me, I love it!

Music makes me happy. I love me some tune-age!

Cathy said...

My bed and a HOT shower (usually 2-a-days in the winter because I get bone cold).

I bought some of the 600 count sheets this afternoon. I've been looking at Target (somehow our second set got a big hole from the washer) but didn't want to pay full price--so thanks!

What makes me happy? Homemade bread. Yes, I think I'll mix some starter up tonight so we can feast on homemade bread come Thanksgiving.

Oh, and not having fleas in my house would make me happy. The little devils just won't LEAVE.

And living closer to Greensboro so I could have gone to see Those Creative Women would make me very happy.

When it gets cold I like to make something hot to drink (coffee, tea, hot chocolate - whatever) about 3:30 in the afternoon. A little treat especially if the boys want to play outside (little boys don't get cold!).

It feels like I'm cheating somehow - I get to regroup, catch my breath, and get a new start in the middle of the day - but I can only get away with it when it turns cold old.

Girly Stuff said...

My morning cup of coffee. I drink it all the way to work. It is seriously my motivation to get out of bed. Not work. The coffee.

I splurged this summer on Organic bedding (sheets, shams and duvet) at Pottery Barn and even my husband sighs each night as we snuggle down. Super soft and never pills!
My favorite thing right now, William Sonoma's Peppermint hot cocoa. Yum.

Sandi said...

I totally agree with you! Nothing says cozy like 600 thread count sheets. They are pricey but good for you that you got them on sale, thats even better..whenever I visit my sil and stay in her guest bedroom I want to tell her to get rid of those horrible sheets that are like 100 thread count and full of itchy little balls! UGH

Mom in High Heels said...

Ooooh, dh and I are sheet snobs. Anything less than 400 thread count is too rough! What makes me happy? Listening to Indy play in his room. Snuggling with M on a cold evening while we watch and old movie. Kisses from my dogs. And good strong cup of black tea.

I just blogged about a dream I had about you! Please don't think me crazy.

I just found Peacock Alley sheets which are normally $350 a set for $49.99 at Tuesday Morning. They also had a discontinued blanket that was $250 regular price for $49.99. My bed is HEAVEN right now. It's amazing how new, super comfy bedding can really make a difference in your quality of sleep.

Clearly, I need to go to Target. I love wonderful sheets with all my heart.

Nester, You should come see the store that I took pics. of, you would like it. Wish I had taken more.

I found a set of King size sheets at Marshall's on sale for $25. They were "Hotel Luxury" brand (or something like that) and 800 thread count!! They are the softest thing that has ever been on my bed! I love to wash my sheets every Monday and put them right back on my bed. I, too LOVE getting into bed every night. Especially after a hot bath with clean shaved legs (like that happens much in the winter!!). :)

How about a heated mattress pad? (with dual controls and a timer - so that the bed is toasty when you climb in.)

Love it...
