I have no earthly idea how to do this. There's a popular, well read blogger who is hosting a Christmas open house. Yesterday. So, I decided to do it, today. I threw in a few fun decorating ideas for those of you who aren't as creative as moi.
Here's a great one. Hang a Christmas tassel on your toilet. Tres chic.
Another mind boggler. Please don't leak this to Martha Stewart. I'm trademarking it.
It's Christmas. Say it with love. And holly.Don't forget to decorate your trash.

Wow!! Martha Stewart really doesn't have anything on you! Your home and your photography is beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
I really liked the trash at the end with the holly in it. That was too funny. You have a lovely home :)
I love that you hung something on your toilet. That cracks me up!
This cracked me up!

My bathrooms are horribly underdressed:-)
Love your blog- so funny- I'll be back!
your living room is beautiful. love the giant star.
You are hilarious! and I promise NOT to tell Martha.
Love your style girl. Martha who?
Loved your picture with the tree and fireplace!!! Very cozy and beautiful!!!
Thank you for inviting me in to your home!
Merry Christmas from Dawn in Germany!
First of all: Wow! You're brave reading all the way up to where my comment was on PW, because I just tried to do it and my little ole' server just laughed out loud at me when I clicked on the read 4000 comments choice.
Second of all: Your house is so pretty. I love the garland on your fire place. I won't tell my mom, however, about decorating the toilet flusher. If you visit her house and stand still too long, she will slap a christmas decoration on you.
Merry Christmas.
You're hilarious. I'm going to go decorate my trash right now. I can't be outdone! :-)
Your living room is gorgeous. I love the star above the fireplace. And I love the holly. My daughter took bits of fake pine that had fallen off of some garland and did something very similar. Weird pieces of pine in random places. I left them. I never even thought about decorating my toilet, though. I'm filing that one away for next year!
