I am loving the birdcage. Mama Lisa, I have the same weathervane and got it from Target last year. I know they have some this year but I don't think they are bunny ones. Elise
I am totally addicted to thrift stores. It all started a year ago when I read about it on different blogs. If you just look beyond the ickyness of the store you will find some great things. I have a Goodwill store that gets Taget donations. Most of the stuff that Target sends is completely new. I recently found a floor lamp that has been one of my greatest finds. I will have to blog about that soon.
When shopping for anything I try to be a bargain shopper. Always head for the sale racks first, look online to see if I can find good deals, etc. But I must admit I usually buy things new.
I have found a few things at yard sales over the years, like a dresser that my hubby repainted for my daughter's room, but not much. And there's a consignment store about an hour away where I found my favorite giant mirror, but the prices aren't really that great there.
However, you (and some of the other great blogs I read) have inspired me! When yard sales start around here I am going to start going regularly and see what I can find. I do occasionally pop into our local hospice thrift store, but I've never found anything great. Living in a small rural town, I think we are somewhat thrift store challenged, but I'll keep trying!
Nester, it's me...it's not April yet, but could I make a custom tassel order. I am going to save so much money yard sale-ing....and I will... that I should treat myself!!!!!
I have found a wicker chair, a floor lamp with a terrific red shade and some great stamps to stamp cards..... I love to yard sale!!!! I am hoping to go to some thrift stores to find some great plates and platters........
