My dear friends Fussy and Karla are looking for some additional writers for their online magazine Blissfully Domestic. If all your friends come to you seeking advice for their home, if you love to be creative in your home, or if you just want to make something up so that you can be friends with Karla and Fussy well, now is your chance. Kimba, are you listening?
I've done this gig before and let me tell you if you want to surround yourself with the classiest women on the web, this is where it's at. Remember, I know Karla in real life and I consider Fussy a friend as well since we have emailed for months and talked on the phone. I heart these women!
So get you and your bad self together and leave a comment here or email one of the girls. I know y'all are some of the most creative, talented, down to earth ladies out there and there are lots of people thirstin' for your good ideas! Take a gander at what some of the current decorating writers/popular bloggers are talking about over at Blissfully D.

It's been so long since I've been over at Blissfully Domestic! I just haven't had time! I'm going to love catching up!
I think I could do that. I like to bake, sew and garden. For baking, my family has a lot of food allergies, so I am constantly experimenting with frugal gluten free, egg free, ccw's milk free, soy free recipes for my crew. With gardening, I am experimenting with organic, possibly hydroponic (in the near future), and urban farming (everything I plant in my landscape from now on will be an edible or beneficial plant and we hope to obtain a few ducks and goats). With sewing, I just like to do a lot of different projects and am working on an idea for recycling our family's worn out clothes into usable, warm quilts for the homeless.
I could write about any or all of those projects. I'm not Martha Stewart or anything, but I do like to write. I can be very loquacious, as you can see. :)
Thank you for the opportunity!
Oh I would love to do this! Pick me!! :)
I would love to write for them! I adore that blog! I can write about pretty much anything, but I especially love TRAVEL and decorating too! I noticed they don't have any type of a travel writer, and it might be fun to have posts about family travel tips or something like that!

I haven't the first clue about decorating my home, but I am searching out resources (how I found you) and beginning to try things out. I want to write about my adventures (and I'm sure) mis-adventures as I take this journey - I'm sure I'm not the only one out there who was born without the "decorating gene," but is willing to jump in anyway. Lets see where it takes us!
I would love to write for their online magazine!
I would like to give this a go...my blog is at:

Dear Nester,
Thanks so much for your lovely note on my blog today...I still have knots in my stomach!

Bella
I love to write. I love to decorate.
I love to help friends decorate.
But ... not a lot of time. (sniff)
Any thoughts on the time commitment?
Just trying to be realistic.

Ooo, sign me up!
I would love to do this! I love to decorate, rearrange, organize, bake, cook, sew, knit, cross stitch, scrapbook, . . . I love to solve problems on a budget. I would really appreciate the opportunity.

I'm all huh? Are you talking to me? Huh?
Well sure! Sign me up!
The mistreatment par-tay earlier in the week got me all fired up and yesterday I re-did my mistreatments that weren't working for me. When you have a chance, come by and give me your thoughts, please!

I have just had a baby and put in my 2 weeks to stay home with her, and I have already started my HUGE list of craft and decorating to do lists...I would love an opportunity to do this...let me know what I need to do to apply...thanks
I would love to do this. My two passions are writing and decorating. I have done both for many years. I am a professional stager and redesigned. I'm crazy about Blissfully Domestic and would love to know how I can make some contributions.
By the way, I really enjoy your blog and read it all the time. My daughter just bought one of your tassels and it is so cute. She lives in Provo Utah and bought one with a little bird house on it.
Me again,
I cannot tell what perfect timing this offer comes at. In the past weeks I have been searching for an opportunity such as this. And, you know what? I would be GREAT at it because I love gathering research, interviewing and, most of all, writing. I am a Public Relations major in college and enjoyed the time I spent writing for my college publication. I wrote about the types of things that I'm sure would coincide with the topics of Blissfully Domestic. I posted a "craft resume" of sorts on my blog just displaying some of my recent projects - http://thefantasiafamily.blogspot.com/ - and hope that you will pass my information on. I promise great things because, after all, many of the crafters out there, myself included, are perfectionists. And we wouldn't have it any other way.
Thanks so much,
Stephaniefantasia@gmail.com
I'd love to do this as well! Keep us posted with any other details!

I forgot to put my e-mail in my post (2 above this one) with all the excitment about the possibility of doing some posts for Blissfully Domestic. It is bonniejmattson@yahoo.com
Thank you for posting about this great opportunity.
I'd love a try at it! How fun!!
OH MY HINGLES!!!!
Here are my ideas for a series of columns:
1. Parenting Principles (A different Bible verse for each article, discussing how this verse impacts the relationship of parent & child.)
2. Book Cooks! A Series of recipes attached to favorite children's & adult (not adult in a naughty way, y'all) books. Great resource for all moms- homeschool, preschool, whatever!
(Would be recipes without artificial flavors or colors as my six year old sweetie can't have them- so generally healthy)
3. One article about "shopping the house" as The Nester says. I did this in a unique way with great results and I think you could get one article out of that.PLUS PHOTOS!! :)
4. It's my first year to homeschool- watch it all go down like the Titannic, y'all! Just kidding! (maybe)
Qualified:
Funny- won one of the photo contest thingys at FUSSY's.
Really, do you need anything else?? I mean, really. REALLY.
(Ok, English Major SMU, Dallas; English teacher (4 years); SAHM (6 years) of 2 girls; Married to a Hottie Minister for almost 12.Texan! Willing to learn)
Thanks!
Karise (that's my name- it means "Grace" in Greek- from the New Testament. )

A girl can dream,can't she???
I would love to give this a shot. I'm always blabbing away on my own blog. I'm sure I could do the same on any number of subjects at Blissfully Domestic. What a great blog,so many ideas and info. P. http://fluffandfinery.blogspot.com
Ok, I am totally laughing here. I think Fussy and Karla may have your head for this...they will now have 75 new writers that they have to interview. Considering that I thought they only needed decorating writers, that would completely leave me out. You know I steal it all, but since they also have frugal living (my designer wardrobe for under $100), financial peace, and weekly meal planning topics...ohhh...I ooze these things in my sleep.
I'd be very interested. I'm just a fledgling decorator, but I'm passionate about simple craft--beautiful things *anyone* can make (even if you don't consider yourself creative). I'm also a fan of doing this in a frugal manner, using what I have in my hand, and repurposing old items to make something new and fresh.
My email: simplecraftAThotmailDOTcom
I went from not being domestic at all to having a child and becoming strangely addicted to the Food Network and HGTV. This would be such a great opportunity to learn and share ideas! What a great site!

My friend told me about this call & it sounded kind of fun -- I didn't realize there'd be so much competition though.
My life is crazy with a four year old and the silly antics of almost-2-year old triplets. My blog has a little home stuff, several easy recipes & how I do my once a month cooking days, but mostly its about my life with these four clowns & how my husband and I deal with the little things. I'd love the challenge of a regular article with a theme. Contact me through my blog if you are interested (linked to my name above).
I would be very interested! Let me know what you need from me: resume, samples, etc.
irishamy@gmail.com
LOL, I just realized that the link I provided will take you to my profile, which has my neglected Simple Craft blog. I've been blogging simple craft stuff at CharityGrace, my main blog, lately. But looking over Simple Craft makes me want to crank it up again!
Well no wonder the decorating posts at BD went crazy today, YOU. YOU YOU YOU. You are so sweet to send folks over to see what's up. I can't wait to see who will be joining up next!
Happy day to you!
Blessings,
Melissa
I just signed on to write for Blissfully Domestic myself. I was very flattered when Mrs. Fussypants contacted me. Thanks for the recommendation!!!!
This sounds like a wonderful opportunity. I love home decorating and crafts. I have been sewing since I was 9. I happen to have my own custom window treatment business. I do all the work designing the treatments. I also make custom aprons and I teach many types of craft classes from floral to paper crafts included handmade journals. There are so many different types of crafts that I enjoy. I would love to have you pop over to my blog to check out some of my creations. I enjoy reading your daily posts and seeing your creativity! Hope to get the chance to talk to you.
Blessings...Sherry

I would love to write about my faith if there is a place for it at Blissfully Domestic.
I would love to do it! I actually just got published in our local paper for an article on thrifting! Jen R
What a great way to find more writers!
I'll toss my hat in the ring!
I would LOVE the opportunity to write more. I am in the midst of writing a book right now. When I turned 30 early this year I decided to take on some new adventures--like writing!
I am a mom of 2, an entrepreneur, a wife, a mentor to college girls, passionate for creative endeavors, an avid cook, a winner at the state fair this year for my baking, and a party planner.
I have been blogging for a little over a year and love keeping record of our lives here in Lexington Kentucky to someday share with my boys.
My blog http://hiphome.blogspot.com has been a great outlet for me to share my decorating ideas and mishaps and share my passion for life with others.
Hi Nester, You have a great blog & sure...I'd like to give it a whirl! A recent post I did was featured in a monthly newsletter.
DebraK

I can't promise that I won't do it with a baby on my lap (she has a very witty sense of humor just in case she decides to coup the computer), but count me in as wanting the gig. :o) I love Blissfully Domestic!
P.S. I think that my biggest things are creating elegant and impressive dishes with simple recipes and ingredients, and I also like to believe that I specialize in doing all things with a baby on the hip and attached to the boob. :o) Okay, but it's totally true, LOL. There is no task that cannot be multi'd by me.

Your website and Blissfully Domestic are such inspirations, I would be honored to participate with ladies like you.
Wow! I can't believe how many wonderful writers there are out there! My name is Jean Ann Van Krevelen and I am the editor of the Home and Garden Channel on Blissfully Domestic. I have tried to contact you all, either through email or via a comment on your blogs...if you haven't heard from me, please email me through my website, www.gardenertofarmer.net and introduce yourself...I would love to know how you see yourself contributing to my channel...and it is not limited to decorating...For inspiration, think about different home and garden magazines you might read...
You can post as little or as much as you like, we want to have a deep cache of resource posts for our readers to explore. We also want our content refreshed regularly.
Although being a contributor to Blissfully Domestic does not result in a paycheck, it does result in other benefits. For example, if you are trying to build your readership, articles on this site are a great way to increase traffic. Also, because you will be linked to a highly trafficked site, your page rank will increase, as well as technorati scores.
It is also a lot of fun and a great way to build experience for paid blogging in the future...or a great way to get people to see the products you sell.
If you are interested, please do contact me and I will send more specific info...
look forward to talking to you all soon!
Jean Ann
WAHOOOO Nester! You rawk the house girlfriend! Can't wait to see all these smiling faces on BD!
