Birds United

Need some kids room inspiration? Design Dazzle is just about enough to make me want to try for number four. There's even a tutorial on painting a tree mural!

See the $400 bathroom redo courtesy of Our Suburban Cottage.
Find a clever way to soften a pretty shower over at Reese & Marie.

Melissa gives away all her secrets to take a kitchen from nice to fantastic.

Eddie Ross shows us how he tablescapes.

Remodeling Guy has gone political on us. I love his idea!

Amy was on TV this week talking about work at home scams and wearing one of Kimba's pins under that banner.

Any good ideas for a bathroom makeover for kids? It is also the "main" bathroom, so it needs to be kid / guest comfortable. I have two girls (young elementary age). There is no window in the bathroom - white cabinets, neutral (with blue tones) in the flooring.

Thanks!

Thanks for linking to Amy's TV appearance. I knew she was going to be on the show but hadn't seen it. That's fun that she wore Kimba's pin!

Love all of these links! I just posted about Design Dazzle last week, it is amazing the ideas from that one site. I have several of my designed spaces there, she invited me early on when she was setting up the site. My muralist is also on there! That's a great place to sit with some coffee, cause you will be there a LONG time.

I just found your blog. I love your bedroom - can you give some details - bedding in particular I am in love with - and the wall color? love it love it LOVE it! I now feel normal after mistreating my windows for years and years. I thought I was the only strange bird who hot glued curtains!

The little girl's room is PRECIOUS! And I'm all about supporting small businesses - in fact, I am doing a giveaway this week (yes ALL week - it ends tomorrow though!) and lots of it are things I made. I was thinking of starting an etsy store - inspired by you of course (though I'm not near as creative in my home as you are!)

After discovering your site, I was inspired to offer to help some friends work on their kitchen remodel ... I'd been wanting to help but kept thinking that everything needed to be done at a "professional level." Reading Nesting Place helped me realize that we could do it, even if it didn't end up perfect! We worked from 10 a.m. to 3 a.m. last Saturday/wee Sunday morning, and I thought you might like to see the results! http://katandgray.blogspot.com/2009/02/one-anothering-kitchen-style.html
Thanks for being an inspiration to us Do It Yourselfers!

I love Reese & Marie's idea on how to soften a shower.

I have drooled (I'm being SO literal there) at Melissa's kitchen since I first saw it. It almost makes me want to pass out it is so perfect! It has all the things in it that I would pick for myself. And I'm so picky that is unusual! It's so funny when you see something someone else has done and think that it totally represents your own style, isn't it?!
