Look who won...
The famous Mommy from The Womble Times was the lucky winner of the tassel and its tack jar companion. I am confident that she will put it to good use. When I went to visit her blog, I was captivated by her wonderful, fun, colorful layered scrapbookstyle blog design. You will love it! She does blog designs, cards, birth announcements and other neat stuff and puts that money towards their future adoption. I just love that!
Now, don't get your local private eye all ready to chase this Mommy girl down so you can steal her tassel. You can have your own tassel too! But you have to pay for it. You all, I mean ya'll, actually I mean y'all have been so great in supporting me and my tassels. Don't you want to send me your hard earned money in exchange for a life enhancing tassel? They are irresistible. Let's hear what they have to say.
I will fulfill your every wish and desire...
Please buy me...I am beautiful...
No, no, buy me, I will make your life complete and full...
I am the one for you, pick me...These tassels have no shame. I get so attached to them and they each seem to take on their own personality. Honestly, if I never sold another one I would be very happy to keep them all in my house. I am sad when I sell them. I have about 9 or 10 that I will not part with.
Every tassel I make is one of a kind and I have connections to get high end fringe remnants. That green wooden weird long bead thingy on that tassel above was from fringe that was like $30 per yard or something crazy like that. What fun! I love making tassels and what a thrill it is when people respond to them!
We are using every red cent we can scrape together to add to our debt snowball. We are now down to $116,343. Yes, I said down to. If you don't know about our debt story, read this. Our goal is to pay $40,000 off this year. We have had great success using Dave Ramsey's method and really like the simplicity of his baby steps to become debt free. We long for the freedom of being without debt and look forward to the day when we owe nothing! Blah, blah, blah, yada, yada, yada...I promise I'll talk less about $$ and more about house stuff next time. Meanwhile, get out your wallet and buy my tassels, just don't tell me if you are using your credit card.
Now, get yourself on over to my etsy shop and buy, buy, buy. I too, have no shame.

Your blog had left me speechless! You are fabulous! :)

I adore your tassels. They just keep getting better and better :-) Hope you make some more with the chicken topper you used a while back!!!!
I love those tassels. I especially like the pink and green one. I am trying not to spend a lot of money right now or I would buy one in a heart beat.
Hugs,
Nan
Okay, I don't know you at all, but I wanted to tell you that I'm proud of you. Is that lame? It's lame. As soon as I get some fun money in my Paypal account I'm gonna go buy me a pretty tassel!
You go girl! That's alot of debt paid...good for you!
We started "the total money makeover" 2 years ago and are now within 10 months of paying it all off. Except our home...that will be in 10 years. My husband was very smart 5 years ago and refinanced our home for 15 years. At the time interest was only 4.5% so our house payment only went up by $200.00.
I am so happy to hear about your progress. Don't be sorry for talking "money". We all need some encouragment in the "paying off debt" area.
May the Lord bless you and help you become debt free!
Susan
O.K. I admit it, I peeked over at your Etsy shop I loved the foul tassel too. So glad it was already sold. We are DR fans too and I already spent my fun $$
her blog is so cute! thanks for directing me there. i'm glad she won, though it really should have been me. i thought i was on a winning streak.
congrats to the winner of the tassel. Careful....these tassels are not only beautiful, but are addictive....... I love them!!!!!!
you're so funny.
Love the Pillow post.
You're really funny and I love your Blog! I admire your honesty and you set a great example for alot of people struggling out there!
A couple more years and our house is paid off!! Debt free is the way to be!!! You go girl!!!
Hey we are some of Dave's kids too. Sometimes we fall off the wagon but try to get right back on. Other times, I would like to say bad words to Dave
Thanks for sharing!
Meredith
There you go again, being all talented.
See how everyone loves you and your tassels?
how exciting to hear about your success in paying off your debt! that is awesome...we are in your boat now, getting out of a business (actually not having one for almost a month now) and having to sell our home and praying that is goes fast! we've been wanting to move so that does make it a little easier...we plan to pay off some major debt with the equity and then save up more $$ to put down on a house! we are seeing the top of the barrel again and it feels good!
i wish you continued success on your tassels and i would buy one if i could splurge!
I {heart} your tassles!
Your tassels are gorgeous. We're Dave Ramsey-ans too. If we weren't, I would so be buying your "little lady" tassel!
On your etsy shop, your blog address has http://nestingplacenc.blobspot.com/...might want to change that to bloGspot. :)
Tamara--thank you! I had already changed it one time because I left out the word 'blogspot' and I didn't even proof it. I don't know how you all put up with me and my horable speling.
Well, aren't you creative! I stumbled across your site today and had a great time nosing around and looking at all the pretty pictures. I'm asking people to send me photos of their "before and afters" on my "Hooked on Houses" blog, so feel free to submit some of yours if you don't mind more people oohing and ahhing over your decorating. ;-)
Love the exterior house shots before and after on your home page--did you do a post about that? I couldn't find it.
I've Bookmarked you and will be back! Thanks! -Julia K :-)
You have the best tassels!
And congrats on the debt snowball! I love Dave Ramsey! You are inspiring!
Melissa
You came over to check out my spankin' new blog and I heart you for it Nester! I can't wait to see more from your girl Percilla...maybe I will grow to love my glue gun if you show me more of her talents.
Love your tassles, and I LOVE Dave Ramsey. We paid off $7,000 in several months using his method. Love him. Did I say that?.... :)
Hey Nestetta! Just wanted to encourage you on your goal to pay off your debt! Keep the Gazelle intensity and you will see the Lord move in mysterious ways. We have been heavily and horribly in debt. Now we have no debt, live in a rental with our 8 children and have just a bit of savings but it is a blessing to have "freedom"!
Jill
Love your tassels! I haven't developed a tassel necessity, yet; however,I know where to come when I do!
