Ebay? and Giveaway!

All righty, you people are amazing! Everyone has helped me think about this yard sale/ebay/craigslist thing so much! I decided to be all daring and list a few things on ebay just for the fun of it. Here's a picture of what is listed so far and here's the link if you really want to see it up close and in your face.

I really am gonna wreck ebay completely up. I DO NOT have the patience to write a big long wordy essay about this junk. I figure if someone likes it, they'll bid. Everything starts at 99 cents because I'm so fair and all. If you notice, that scale that you all got hot and bothered about isn't with the group. My sweet husband is apparently more attached to it than I knew. Maybe next year.

I don't think I'm gonna have a yard sale now because our neighborhood stinks for sales and I hate to break it to you and look like a looser but, I only have about 5 friends here. Plus my mom. My mom's neighborhood had their sale 3 weeks ago and my other 4 friends all live in the same HUGE hood and of course, their sale was last week but I scored big time there! So, if that isn't enough to depress you with my friend situation I will tell you now that YOU are my friends. I hope you are not all robots.

Can someone please tell me what this is called and if it has any value? I want to list it and I've never used it I just remember that I think I bought it on the scrapbook isle. Oh someone asked and yes, I'm getting together some garland starter kits still. So sorry it takes me forever. Do you think that all I want to do is sell you stuff? I hope not.

Just to be sure, let's do a giveaway like some of you suggested! See you are as shameless as me so that makes me feel better. This time, instead of a tassel, let's do...

a black and white garland starter kit.

That will be fun I know how you all love your black and white, Hillary and Obama--you'll still need to add a few things in it from your life, that's what makes it fun! If you are clueless on what on God's green earth I am speaking of see this post. Now I'm feeling all political. That is the closest to political this blog's ever gonna get. If you want to win it, just leave me a comment about nothing or anything and make sure I have a way to reach you if and when you win!

Oh - I'm moving on Monday - and our new kitchen is black and white and that would be stunning in there! I want to win :)

Alright Nester, since I was the first girl to give you yard sale advice, I kinda think I earned the starter kit. right?...RIGHT? lol

Ok, seriously, you can help me mistreat and nestify my oh so sad and bare kitchen window. Wouldn't those black and white fabrics look so beautiful with my dark cherry cabinets and green slate counter tops? And the toile, oh the toile. Perhaps some fresh twigs of rosemary lovingly placed here and there. Yes, I'm convinced the garland wants to come home to SC. Won't you send her home?

I'd love to be entered!! :D Amazing stuff!

Wow! 202 comments! That's crazy. My odds of winning are skimpy but, can you put my name in anyways.
Just wanted to let you know I read your blog every day...okay, at least every other day. And I'm not just saying that so I will win ;)
Seriously, love your blog with all of your creative and "cheap" ways to make our homes beautiful! And it helps that you're funny...that way I actually read your blog instead of just looking at the pretty pictures.

OK, these garlands are cute as can be, but I was not going to enter because I felt I probably didn't need it, but a great idea came to mind. My daughter just got married moved away is lonely and looking for some crafty things to do, this looks like a craft she couldn't mess up. (She feels like she is crafting impaired.) So ok enter me, this would be a great gift for her, and wow I wish I had an idea that was this popular.

Thanks for the giveaway!

Whoa! That's a lot of comments. Didn't have the time to check them all, but DID find out that that tool is called an "Instant Setter", and is for punching holes and setting eyelets while scrapbooking. Found the info by googling "Making Memories tools". :)

I knew the scale would render some envy. I snagged one at an auction last fall for $1, I think everyone was sleeping. I was all geared up to *fight* for that puppy and no one even raised a finger for it. I would love the starter kit but I don't envy you for having to pick someone!

Just found your site, love your nest. Makes me want to feather mine up too! I'd love to have your garland kit for my laundry room. I am trying to make it more "cute" to entice me in there to "work". Colors match my house!!

Love your blog, Ms. Nester. I'm getting some fabulous ideas. Thanks!

I'd love to win that black & white garland kit. I just moved into a new house and it would look cute in my red/black/white kitchen... kinda like the one you had in your previous post. :)

This is my first time reading your blog. You have some wonderful ideas.

I love the garlands too! Hope I get picked to win!

I can't believe you have so many people here hoping to win also.

I'm putting you down as a favorite so I can come back here again and again.

Love the give away idea. I have to do one.

Loooove your blog. I read it, take notes, and think that I will attempt some mistreatments when we move again in the next year. I have such an appreciation for anybody with an ounce of decorating talent and sense of style, thinking that YES, I too can do that! I also love your music. Can you load my ipod for me?? As an American living in Japan, I feel a little "up" on things by reading about mistreatments and chuckle knowing the 10-teen routine (I have one too, albeit a girl). It's nice to hear about another nest, in another part of the world. I would proudly hang that beautiful garland! devisser 5 @ yahoo. com (no spaces). I do us USPS via the US Navy! Sayonara...Gaelin

Am I too late? I am totally in love with the black & white garland, and I have about 30 places I could put it. I'm in the middle of an update/decorate in the living room & my home office right now. Love your blog!

You know I think if I won this snazzy garland I would be one giddy girl. I never seem to win anything...poor me...waaaaa!

I think when people would see this they would be saying I want one and think I made it, oh wait it is a starter kit so I think that means I would have to use these short stubby finger hands of mine...Sorry but this is from the nester, I can give ya her number and she'll be able to make a tassel or a special mistreat for ya, lol!

What do I like about the Nesting Place? Well not only do I try to copy your ideas with a little touch of Nay so I look like I know what I am doing decorating, but so people will be brave and come here with the four wee-ums running like banchies and rubbing folgers all over the freshly cleaned floor.

The music is great too I turn it up on my broken computer speakers which the volume knob seems to be missing again! I then turn off the flat screen so it sounds like a radio. I think I actually impress people.

I also like the colors on here is that the favorite Tabacco color? Looks like it. I sure hope I got this plea in time before it runs out.

Well if I win by chance my email is rbrown7997@yahoo.com and you could always come over to the Willow which is still stale for now.

Hugs~ Renee "Nay"

First time to comment here, but had to enter to win this. We are moving into a new parsonage (well, new to us) and I just commented today on my blog about decorating with black and white. Therefore, I have got to win this!! If not, I now have the great idea to make my own :)
