I got it at the Goodwill in the rich part of town where rich people take their castoffs. You know, everything is disposable. They sit on a sofa once and then you have to throw it away.
Did anyone ever see that Saturday night live spoof for the one time use/disposable toilets? People had toilets stacked in their trash because you use it once and throw it away? You know, that way you don't have to clean them! Ok, it was much funnier when they did it on TV.

Love it. Awesome find. I do that all the time. I love they way it looks, don't know where it will go, but I have to have it. That is usually how I end up getting rid of other stuff I have been hanging on to.
Oh my...NO FAIR!! (Do I sound like my daughter?)How can I have been there for all those hours and not have found it... and you didn't even have to recover! I told you that store was unbelievable. I think the Good will lady was just waiting till I walked out the door to bring it on in.:) She knew I needed to develop character in the covet-ness area. The great thing is that you even got the disinfectants there, didn't you? I even got me a "preferred shopper card"..yep, an extra 10% off every purchase...free to sign up. Now that cracks me up. Goodwill is one of a girl's best friends..the consignment store and her little sister the yard sale rank quite nicely too.
This is my first visit. I love the chair and all of your wonderful ideas. I envy those that live in locations with an abundance of thrift stores and flea markets.

hmmmmmmm thrifting in the rich part of town. Good idea. My brother in law works in waste management (garbage man..lol) anyhow he works a VERY rich part of town and comes home every single week with incredible finds but because its not NEW anymore or they had it more than 1 month they literally throw things out!! My sister has almost new coach luggage they threw out. The only thing they could find wrong was a scuff mark!

this is ot, but wanted to tell you that i made my second rag/ribbon garland this weekend. the first i made for youngest daughter's room, this one i made as a baby gift. it turned out SUPER cute if i do say so myself, PLUS i found a GREAT deal on ribbon at hobby lobby- they sell bags of 'leftover' ribbon- 30 yards for $3, all cut into 2 yard pieces, so you get 15 different pieces of ribbon, and they usually try to keep it all w/in some type of color scheme, so you can sort through the bags and find one that will match your project. AWESOME!

Beautiful chair! I have furnished my home with Goodwill, Salvation Army, and Habitat for Humanity Restore finds. There is wonderful stuff hidden in with the particle board junk--I have found old Ethan Allen, Baker, Henredon, and Pennsylvania House solid wood furniture that only needed a good cleaning, touch-up pen, and coat of Bri-wax polish to look beautiful again. You can find great accessories and rugs, too. I love my "thrift store" finds-they help me make a comfortable, cozy home on a small budget. Miss Kris

I was sure someone would notice but this chair looks just like the one on the new Pottery Barn catalog form a week or so ago! The colors on PB are brighter (I prefer yours), but it's the same style!

I have picked up chairs like this. In fact I have one to be recovered, but I need one of those pens. Where do you get them? Do they come in different wood colors? I haven't done any garage saling or thrifting since my kids have gotten older, but maybe I need to start that up again!
Oh, and can you tell me what you do with the grab it? Do you just run it over the fabric on the chair? Please share how you use these "tools"
