United Moms

UPDATE: Moms Unite will be unavailable Starting May 1st. We're revamping and plan to be back better than ever this fall!

I have so enjoyed getting to know many of you moms out there who, like myself have a small business. Whether you are a graphic designer, hair bow maker or author of a blog it makes me happy to see you succeed. My friends Kimba {A Soft Place to Land}, Melissa {The Inspired Room} and Sandy {4 Reluctant Entertainers} feel the same way about supporting moms in business. We are thrilled to help promote other moms and we started a group called Moms Unite.

What’s that mean?

Moms Unite will be doing our part to give other moms opportunities to promote and advertise their businesses. Likewise, we are giving everyone the opportunity to find great businesses for services and products! Yippie! It's a win/win!

Mom Ads

Sandy, Melissa , Kimba and I will be offering deeply discounted mom rates for ad buttons in our special Moms Unite advertising area of our blogs. You can place ads on just one of our sites, or for maximum exposure, you can be on all four sites. The cost is $50 for two months of ad/button space per blog.

We expect to reach over a million page views among the four blogs during a 60 day run so that is a lot of exposure. And by linking together, we hope to share the good cheer with everyone.

Who Qualifies for Moms Unite?

If you are a woman/lady/girl, running a small home business selling crafts or products, design services, writing or blogging, this is probably the right place for you! {And if you aren't a mom, you can do it too--it just sounded better to say Moms Unite as opposed to Womens Unite or Females Are Us or Girls Incorporated}

What if I don't qualify as a small home based business mom for this promotion?

Not to worry. Those of you with businesses that don't fit the small home business profile for Mom's Unite, but still want to partner with Nesting Place for advertising, can check out the premier advertising availability.

Where do I sign up?

Sign up at any of the four listed blogs to join in the fun at their blog. The more you sign up for, the more results you will see. And the more results you see, the happier we all are!

How do I join up with Moms Unite for the Nesting Place?

Just click the buy it now button {I loaded it myself, I'm so proud}. Follow up with an email and your button with code. The button needs to be a static 180 x 48 (wider than long) linked button. Need a button--check out the mom unite ads for any graphic designers. {If you are a graphic designer this is your chance for some button business if you want it}. For other advertising opportunities, please email me: nestergirl@gmail.com.

Be sure to take a button code and share the opportunity with your friends! Don't forget to click on the buttons under the Moms Unite emblem on the sidebar and check out some great businesses and good reads!

Special thanks to Kimba and Melissa for coaching me through every tiny step of this entire post and letting me borrow their polished wording--unless the subjects are lamps and fabric I cannot even begin to write.

My mom makes the cutest little outfits and does monogramming and appliques. I've been trying to help her get her etsy shop up and running, but isn't having many visitors. I am assuming it is the lack of people "knowing" about it. Could you help me get her name abroad the blog world???? Pretty please???

I've read this post twice because I JUST knew somewhere in there you MUST have said "MOMs UNTIE".

Sadly, you did not.

Great idea, though. I agree with Imperfect - no small business here, but I look forward to supporting those who do have one. Fun!

I don't have my own business, but I can't wait to buy from all the cute moms who do.

No excuse for buying from robots when you can buy from Moms Unite!

This is a fantastic idea! You've already done so much to help others; it's so refreshing to find someone who is genuine & not just out for themselves.

Thanks!

Hey. When I click on the pay now button, it just takes me to my paypal account but doesn't show me the option for paying you. Can you resend me the link?

If you do not have a website, you can still promote your business in business directories by listing your contact information and a brief description about what you offer. Chances are, you will still get some response but your efforts may not be maximized. Some online visitors who want to find out more information about you but couldn’t do so may be shy to contact you. Therefore, it is highly recommended that you get a website before starting your online promotion efforts. World Business Directory
