Welcome to my everyday.
Emily, also who I call my little sister, at Chatting at the Sky is hosting a well timed notice the wonderful in the everyday, also everyday unwrapped party at her site. I love her post here where she talks about the why she wants to notice the everyday. I could relate and I bet you can too.
Here are a few of the things I noticed over the past week. The ones I was able to capture on camera don't look near like what they did in person but I guess that's part of the enchantment of the moment.
Now that the seasons are changing we get a beautiful view of the sunrise out of our back yard every morning.
My oldest son and I love to star gaze. This past week Venus, Jupiter and the moon put on a show.
We had beautiful fog that lingered longer than normal.
All three boys found a project that they worked on together for hours after school.
And furniture in a home full of boys used the way God intended.
In the midst of what can be the busiest season take some time and enjoy the little things that are happening around you right now.
This just in: Kim at Small Words has decided to give away 3 yes THREE of her letter paintings because of the great turnout of comments for the giveaway last week--we had almost 1000 people wanting her beautiful works of art! Winners will be announced tomorrow!
Fresh hot handmade tassels for sale now!

Bravo!! You're first! This is spectacular. Makes me feel like you aren't hours away. Thank you for joining in the celebration, sister. Love you.
Ah...furniture definitely used the way God intended. Miss you today....heard my fam was late. I tried. :)
Hee hee - you can come mess up on my comments any day of the week
we took a look at the night sky this week too - they said in Austrailia the moon and planets made it look like a smilely face
Thanks for sharing your everyday life with us...the real and appreciated moments are always the best aren't they! :-)
We had The Star of Bethlehem presented at church today...I mention this because you brought up the Jupiter, Venus thing. I have always loved the stars for their beauty, but now I am in complete awe of how God has used them...if you'd like to see the trailer, here's the link. The beginning of it kind of reminds me of National Treasure. But this treasure is REAL! Rick Larson's ending to the presentation just left me speechless and in tears. I will never see the stars in the same way again.
Sorry for planting myself on that one subject, but that picture just reminded me about it! : )
Great post! Thanks for sharing!
Isn't the sky wonderful? We live in Johannesburg, South Africa and we too saw the planets. My husband was away from home and called to tell us to go outside. We can be far apart, but we all live under the same sky!
i saw those planets too! It was spectacular. i had alreadyforgotten about that. i'm glad you reminded me. kelly
My furniture looks like that too....with three girls and a boy. I think it's the homeschooling 'home is all things' mentality.....skatepark, playground, yoga studio, american girl store, you name it. Loved your 'moments' and can't wait til Wed.
Beutiful...I, too, have been noticing those beautiful sunrises and the wrestling children. God is so good.
BTW...I took your advice on an old post and started spray-painting old frames and even a clock to match the new paint in our basement. I can't believe how good it looks! I never would have thought of spray paint...thanks for the tip. My family is a little scared. I'm painting everything black. Sort of Goth.
Blessings,
Sandy
That foggy morning picture looks so incredibly peaceful. And, of course, I adore the one of the boys "wrassling" around! hehe!
I think my favorite is your star gazing. Silly hubby told me I could go out later in the evening and take a picture, but by the time I got out there the moon was too low. Love it, love it!!!
So glad we weren't the only ones tracking Jupiter and Venus last week (thanks to Apologia science). It WAS a real everyday treat straight from the Creator.
I heard the weatherman say that the planets and stars won't be lined up so beautifully for a very long time again, so I've enjoyed seeing it, too! And I agree that we MUST enjoy the everyday moments, or our expectations will disappoint us every time if we are only looking for the perfect.....
Suzanne
Love your pictures - especially the ones of the boys wrestling. Something I see all too often around here!
I love that last picture!
Love those boys wrestling on the couch. It's easy to put everything together to take a photo of a room unlived in and looking perfect. It would be far more realistic for me to show photos of my couch cushions thrown off being used to make forts. That's the everyday. Thanks for your beautiful reminder. I won't even start on those gorgeous views of yours. *jealous*
very nice. we did some stargazing, too. venus and jupiter were so bright -- i thought they were airplanes at first. and also -- hooray for boys!
So wonderful to just stop and look, isn't it?
Great post!!! I love the picture of the stars!!! Wow..great camera!!! My kids did the same project yesterday!

Hey, Nester, I'm going to Blissdom 09 too & look forward to meeting up with you. Should be a fun time for meeting lots of new bloggers.
There is so much to notice if we but open our eyes! Thanks for sharing!
I love it...what a great post! xxo
Love the boys wrestling... mine attack each other with karate!!! I have been enjoying those moments lately too.
God is so good!
Thank you for stopping by my blog. I just wanted to say that it is so refreshing to see a home that is beautiful and still livable and well lived with 3 boys! A home is meant to be lived in! Thanks for all of your great posts. I love getting to "unwrap" them!
Great images to capture and Yay for three giveaways!
I like being in the "every day" mode, it's great and sometimes I forget to do it......but those little kids of ours definitely help with showing us HOW TO live in the moment. Kids, they're awesome!!
Question: Do we go enter in the contest again to win the painted letters?
perfect post for this time of year!!!
oh love your pictures and especially what you said about kids and furniture. that fog looks so calming!
What a wonderful way to share what is happening during this season. The sunrise was awesome this morning. Sorry no photos.
Have a great day.
