Ragamuffin it

Even the simplest of appetizers can be made to look irresistible.

Next year, I'm stocking up on these cheese boards with the glass cover and giving them as gifts. I see them at almost every thrift store and yard sale and cringe at how many I have passed up at the small price of $2.99. Fill it with an easy dip, tie it up with some ragamuffin scraps and you have a stunning gift.

I am generally at such a loss in regards to coming up with charming gifts such as this one. I love it and it doesn't even require cooking if you have the stuff on hand from a jar!

Thanks so much! What a lovely hostess gift!

Quick question.. did you tie the ragamuffin stuff on to become a tassle when removed or is it all loose when removed?

I'm stocked up on cheese boards found them at TJ Maxx on clearance last year.
(I do the super easy cream cheese, green onions, and chopped dried beef with a splash of worchestire sp? sauce. Roll in pecans and you are good to go)
I would love to know where you found the large jingle bell ????
Thanks!

Brilliant... and one I'm tucking in my idea file for next year.

Who am I kidding... I don't have an idea file.

Take two- one that I am trying to impress on my brain so that I can remember this for teacher gifts next year. Have mercy- I had some issues with that this year.

Thanks for the GREAT idea!

Blessings dear friend.

The red pepper jelly brings back memories of helping my mom when she hosted all of her big parties when I was growing up. I didn't get that entertaining gene, but you knew that already!

I love handmade gifts (they were a huge part of my Christmas giving this year...it is on my newest post). It is amazing how just a few scraps can really make a huge impression! I love the colors that you used too (the blue is the perfect accent to your typical holiday colors)! Have a blessed Christmas!

ok, so i went straight to my goodwill during my lunchbreak today and found the glass top part. since i couldn't find a coordinating bottom, i think i will just grab an inexpensive plain white plate at the store when i go pick up groceries.

THANK YOU again for this awesome idea. there is a family i needed to shop for and couldn't think of a single thing to get.

oh, and did i mention that while at said goodwill, i scored 5 of those really cool old glass chemistry bottles... can't wait to use them next year to decorate for halloween!

Stop! Enough! Of course I am just kidding, this is incredible. But if I say Nester anymore than I currently do my family may have me committed. Seriously. Did I tell you when I am out gathering stuff in stores after seeing a post like this I have to tell everyone in my general vicinity about you and your blog and your fabulous, creative and really mis-treated ideas? Sometimes hubby is with me, and sometimes it is just the kids, but they all say the same thing...."she is talking about Nester again....always talking about Nester....in her sleep she is still talking about Nester...." Love you! :]

Merriest Christmas Sweet Nester!!
I have been mia for a couple months...but i am hoping to be back in the beautiful amazing bloggy world...new year anyone??
Just wanted to say..i love this idea to decorate the cheesey domes...i have a few that i have picked up at my goodwill...yes, mine all mine!!..I love the idea of something so simple and charming being the wrapping for such a thoughtful gift... in my imaginary world...okay..real world..where all things nester are simply exquisite...i have been pretending my misfit cheesy domes were your fancy clocqukeses (sp).
so i dome any and all small leftovers...and now i am going to doll me up a cheesy dome or two...
and i too will be on a scavenger hunt for more cheesy domes...at my goodwill...move over trusty cello baggies...
Happiest New Year!!
Joyfullness
