That looks like so much fun! I saw a bunch of stuff I'd want...namely that floweredy dress on the girl in the kitchen area and big slice of that bundt cake, and a whole slew of girlfriends that I could have swap meets with like this! Haha! ;o)

Looks like you had some great things to choose from! I like how it became more of an event with all of that yummy-looking food.
I had a friend that hosted one of these and it was so much fun! I came home with a couple of great trades! These are a great way to recycle your stuff and enjoy friends too! Looks like you all had a great time!

What FUN it was!!! I was so blessed to be there! And the banana pudding was to die for... I would love the recipe! All the food was abundant and great... and the fellowship even more. Thank you soooooooo much for opening your home to us. Ladies, the Nester is even sweeter and more adorable in person!!! (And all the other women I met were wonderful too.) Blessings!
Gosh...I miss living in the deep South. Pound cakes make it to every event. Not so elsewhere my friends...not so.

My eyes have turned green with envy over here! ;) I've been thinking about offering to host a swap with my MOPS group, so I am anxious to hear how you organized this without ladies tearing through the place like a tornado...it doesn't look like anyone was injured. ;)

This looks like so much fun! I just did a book swap for my kiddos last week, but I like the "big girl" parties better!

When you emailed me and told me you were going to do this I knew the day of the post would be hard... not just because of the "stuff" I was missing out on because I live on the other side of the US- but look at them southern tasty treats in your kitchen! I'd have gone just for the name tag and a plate of goodies and a chance to stand next to your horizontal door. Fun times. Next time we'll have it at my place:)

How did you word the invitation? How many people to do you recommend for this kind of thing?
And finally, did you make all that food or was this a potluck too?
I too have done this, and it's a lot of fun. My next event is August 27th at a garden center that invited me after hearing of the first event I did at a local decorating shop. Showing new ways to decorate with others discards brings lots of conversation among the guests.

I can't wait to hear about this! I totally want to host a swap meet now. Especially with money being tight for so many people I know, myself included, this is a great way to get to "go shopping".
I want to know how you kept everyone in the know about what was up for swapping and what was YOURS... it looks like things were spread all over your house!

Your swap looks like so much fun! I have seen some pictures of it on other blogs. I would have trouble picking my 'swap' with all those pretty things!!
We've done that before, too! We include regretable cosmetic purchases, clothes, and accessories, and just basically trade over wine. It's free, fun, and also very social.
Well that looks like fun! You will have to fill us in SOON on this because me and several of my friends are wanting to do a swap meet, too! I've never even been a part of one, though, and would like to make it as fun as possible! So tell us some of your favs from that day!
