Dear Nester, I want to decorate for fall but most of the items in the stores are spooky, bloody and downright scary. Help! What would you suggest for inexpensive, approachable yet classy fall decor?
PS, you are beautiful and wise and I have three daughters that are your son's age that they can marry in 20 years and a perfect job for your husband that he will love forever. Oh, and a maid. I want to give you a maid too.

You know, I could have written that letter...I have 3 daughters not too far from your sons' ages (my girls are just a titch younger) I love your decorating style, you are beautiful and I'd love to give us BOTH a maid! Thanks for all you do to help us beautify our own homes!

That was my goal this year, to create a pretty and classic fall mantle. I won a cake stand from Layla at The Lettered Cottage, and I used it as a centerpiece for my decorations. I posted pictures of my decorations the other day if you want to take a peek!

OKay, so I went to Oprah's site to read what is going to be on today's show since we will in the car when it aris. OH MY STARS! What an incredible story. And Oprah says it is one of her all time favorites. I know there will be much more emotion in the video than the post on her website - I hate to miss it.

i am really into putting acorns/pinecones/small pumpkins in a large vase to display them as a centerpiece. i also found some really cute plastic brown/yellow/orange acorns that go great in a small dish. i thought you'd be proud, since i always read your blog for design ideas.
