Here's the forecast. Let's try again next weekend? Hopefully I'll still have stuff to sell. I'm pulling so much out of the pile that it's disgusting. But I'm also putting more stuff in.
My husband and I need to plan ahead so at this point, even if we wake up at 6am and it's dry and sunny and 70 degrees with a rainbow and raining dollar bills, donuts and coffee, we still WILL NOT have the sale tomorrow. Don't show up at the house unless you want to help with yard work and get shot with an air soft gun.
A few photos. Don't be asking me to hold anything or how much something is. Aren't I the pleasant one? I've got "I'm-all-ready-for-a-yard-sale-and-can't-have-it because-it-might-thunderstorm-itus." It makes me grumpy.

And a garage full of crap. I mean really great stuff. I'm not selling furniture but for a broken legged parson's chair and a piano that I've yet to return emails about. I've got size 6-7 boys clothes and just some weird odds and ends. I hope someone actually buys something.

I sure wish I lived closer to you. I'd probably buy all your boy clothes, as my twin boys are now in size 5! I am sure you'll have a successful sale, whenever it is!
A yardsale on halloween should be fun, I'll dress in costume! haha jk but maybe I'll bring my little girl in her costume. She LOVES shopping and begs me to take her every day.
Nester - surely you are not selling your rabbit weathervane table thing & your big red finial? Those are classic nester pieces.
I hope some lucky fool appreciates them and calls them the best $3 they ever spent!

Yes, I'm selling the bunny. It is the vane/vain/bane of my existance. It's darling but so bulky. But it's one of my 5 or 8 favorite things I'm selling so it's more than $3. Hopefully no one will buy it?
Geeze, Nester ~ if it was an online yard sale I would be buying quite a few things I see! I know what it's like though. I did a major sell off in May at my sister's yard sale to prep for moving {haven't yet}. It felt good to get rid of stuff, but I was pulling things out of boxes, putting them back and then finding more stuff to sell off. Sorry the forecast isn't working in your favor, but hopefully next weekend will be gorgeous yard sale weather!

Sorry to hear your plans were changed. I thought that was going to happen to us too, but now it's looking to be sunny. Your yard sale stuff looks much better than my yard sale stuff. Totally unfair that you live hours and hours away from me :(
I feel ya. I yard saled w/a dilly dallyer and I'm very anal. I had things tagged and ready. She was like well, maybe tomorrow, maybe next week. I was determined to get my couch out. If the yard sale hadn't happened I was considering a chain saw.
By the way, how much is the... ? Could you hold it for me? I kid, I kid.
I know what you mean...it rained enough here today, so hopefully it won't rain for us tomorrow! We're having on also, and I sure hope people buy this stuff! I'll be tempted to take it back if they don't!
Is it bad that I enlarged the fabric photos to see what I want? Is any of that fabric large enough for some mistreatments? I'd love some Nester fabric mistreatments!

Yup! woke up and it's been raining and there was a sudden downburst, too. At least in our part of the state, anyway! Hope this week goes well for you while you plan your sale.
Think about it... next Saturday night, (Sunday morning technically), we get an extra hour of sleep! And yet another reason to postpone ;-)

it disturbs me that you live so far away. I asked a friend if she wanted to get up at 3am and take a road trip to Charlotte for a yard sale, she laughed. Maybe i am a little crazy for thinking about the idea with all serious-ness, you probably wouldn't want a crazy person their anyhow.:)
How disappointing! Well, hopefully next weekend will work out! And too bad that I don't live close...I see several things that I would want!

Too bad about the weather there. You are getting the rain we got a few days ago--sorry. It dumped 2 inches on us (southern Oklahoma).
Hopefully, you'll have good weather for it next weekend though (wish I had the opportunity to come out there, though)...

Dang, I was so hoping you'd hold that Dole banana box for me. I can only imagine how many requests for bananas I'd get, whether we have any or not. You should pile all your wannabe fruit in it so it'd feel at home and not want to leave the sale. ;)

I wish I live close yours would be one I would hit for sure! I go out every weekend in hopes of finding that much fabric for sale. I'm sure I would blow through my entire year yard sale budget on everything else!
(pout) Oh how I wish I lived near you! My son is in size 7's and you can't find them used around here hardly ever! What is it about boy clothes that makes them so hard to find!? I guess finding them with a lack of grass stains and holes huh?
Hope you can get rescheduled soon for your garage sale! We have been in the 40's and 50's here, but we are acclimated, we have garage sales when it is freezing cold outside because that is just the WI way! :) WTG on downsizing and being ready to sell.
And you say you only have 3 things? LOVE that feather tree, and the darling little lamp. Too bad I live so far away. I hope the sale went well!
