Thanks for all of you who left a comment at my last post. I was getting ready to feel jilted {is that a word?} if I had more comments there than on the post where I give away free stuff. I'm writing this early so, there's still time for me to feel bad before I publish this. I can assure you that your voice was heard I read every comment as I usually do and really appreciate what each person said. I really want this blog to be place where you feel like you can sit down and stay awhile. So, to keep this blog as user friendly as possible, I am switching my music to whatever it is so that if you want to hear it, you simply scroll down to the bottom of the page and hit play. Then, you can even pick what song you want to hear. I'll switch it to my sidebar as soon as I figure out how to make it skinny.
I'll still be adding to my play list from time to time and you can even scroll down within the list to see all of my most favorite songs. And, as always, you can click on whatever song you want to hear out of my favs. Well, I still can't find She's Not Just a Pretty Face by Shania Twain nor can I find the country song, Just Another Day in Paradise, I forget who it's by but I love it. I also cannot find the piano version of the duet Heart and Soul. Isn't this enlightening reading all the titles of the songs that I don't have?
So, turn your speakers up, read me at the office and let those babies nurse away, I won't make a peep. I promise. But, from time to time I might tell you to listen to a song if I think it really adds to the post!
Thanks again! Ya'll rawk.
PS They did pick a winner over at Blissfully D for the nest frame that I have yet to make much less send to the sweet winner, Kim! Congrats!

"Just Another Day in Paradise" is by Phil Vassar, one of my faves, but I am partial to piano-playing musicians.
Nester, I adore you. I think you're my idol. You're so thoughtful, always thinking of your "groupies", LOL! My latest reason for adoring you is the biscuit crumbs on your floor and bench! I enlarged the kitchen picture to take a closer look at that big red thing on your table ( I love all things red) and lo & behold, you have breadcrumbs, just like me! Bless your heart! Thanks for making me feel like I don't have to be perfect to be beautiful.

Thank you for making the music optional. The little one is sleeping in the other room and I have some things to do so I think I'll just leave your blog up and listen to a little music while I do...
ps, now that I figured out I don't have to log in to comment, you'll never hear the end of me, lol!
pps, still haven't painted that fireplace as we're finishing up the porch railings outside. One project at a time... I'll let you know when it's done though!

And I thought I woke up early! Im glad you wanted to keep the music. It's funny cause my daughter would ask me... Momma, put that blog on that plays put girl put your records on. She has know idea what a record even is. She loved the song so much I had to add it to my playlist. So girl, keep your records on!. Hope to update and write a new post. Im sure my friends are bored looking at the same post for a week now. I should be ashamed of myself. I just spend all my free time over at your nest and others, :) Susie H
Did I just leave that comment... It was so full of grammer no no's I'm sorry I put my name at the end. Susie
No, YOU rock. Thanks for listening Nester. Now I can read you and nobody will ever know...
I respect your musical decision, but I have to admit...I miss it. Don't worry, though, I'll still come read your blog every morning. You're one of my fav's.
Phil Collins did a song Another Day In Paradise, which is what I thought you were talking about...now need to have a listen to the other one!!
Anyway, just wanted say you should have a look for that other player people use that is just a small little widget, instead of a big, chunky thing, that people use in their sidebars all the time...and then put it near the top so people can see it's there, rather than at the bottom, where a lot of people never go. :D
The day the music died. :)
Popping in this morning was like going to a good friend's house, opening the door and yelling "yoo-hoooo? anybody home?" So quiet...but found you in the basement. Phew!
Thanks Nester! I think your decision sounds like a good one for everyone! I would have read you either way but I like the option of turning on the music if I want it! Keep on Nesting!
Thank you thank you thank you. I'm sneaking a peak at your site while I'm at work and no one here knows. :)
Sheila
I lovvve that sign there! And I am so stealing your couch and pillows... literally. I'm going to come into your house like the Grinch and carry it out on my back, among other things I'm swiping from you. :-D
Phil Vassar. :o)
I deleted my music yesterday too. Which kind of makes me sad since I named my blog after one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite men. :::sigh:::
I realized this morning that I read blogs in google reader...and no music plays anyway. So... maybe I should have kept the music. I'm so indecisive! :o)
I am a day behind, so I don't know all the fuss of the music on the blog... all I do know is my speakers have an on/off switch, so until now I never knew you even had music on your blog. ;) Keep on, keeping on!
Oh wanted to tell you I've been searching for what feels like an eternity for some cute pink trim for my daughter's curtains... wouldn't you know that the most perfect pink trim cam in my most recent etsy purchase from you?! Thanks Nester! How are you able to read my mind like that??
Wow! All those comments! Opinions are like belly-buttons... well, you know the rest.
Obviously gobs of people love you Nester and this music decision is yet another reason why- you seem so accommodating. After reading most of the comments, something I find amusing is that it really didn't matter what you decided... even blog-music haters couldn't stay away from the Nesting Place!
I have the same kitchen table. It started out the same color, turned to red, and now it is solid black. I love how you put a bench with it. I'll have to take a mental note and look for different chairs. That will change the look for me. Keep the pictures coming.
Just so you know, I come here and land at least once a day just to listen to your great tunes! I love the compilation, and Dolly's "9 to 5" makes me giggle and is so appropriate as I sit here in cubicle land. :) So, thanks!
Yay, congrats Kim. I need to go find a frame and a nest now.
Sounds like a great solution. Now I'll have to be sure to scroll all the way down to see if you've got something new and exciting listed. Or if I just want to hear 9 to 5! Love the sign on the door!
I'm thinking this is the first I've seen of the door on the wall (other than you leading the way over to Sissy's blog and seeing hers)....what a great idea!
And the music - I'm cool with either/or. I sneak my blog peaks in the office, so I usually mute it when I know I'll be coming to yours...however, I'm not opposed to the music. I even tried to add music to mine, but never figured out how!!!
I'm sure 20 people have already told you...but, I think it's Phil Vassar. Great song!
Rock on, Sister! :-)
imamom
Nester,
I was so excited to hear that I won your framed nest from Blissfully Domestic! To have something made by your talented hands...Joy! Joy!
Take your time making it. I'm patient. Sort of. And if I'm not patient, I'm at least nice. :-)
Kim
I have to admit- I missed the music as I visited today. But I think having it still on the site, but at our discretion is a fair compromise.
PS I wrote about you today.
What a fair and diplomatic decision - the best of both worlds. I agree with the earlier comment about walking into an empty home, but I just made myself at home and 'put your records on' :) Thanks for being such a considerate blogfriend.
I'm a little late commenting here, but I like the music. I'm glad that you still have the option to listen.
June
The sign is just beautiful!

Hey Nester... I didnt get your comment that you left. I dont know what happened.I would love to read it so can you please resend it. It's killing me that I missed it. You know your BIG when the nester leaves ya something... Im tellin' ya your gonna make it big girl. I guess I will see you on Oprah. Just dont forget to tell her that we are best of friends.....Haha Susie H
Nester, you are so stinkin cute. Ya wanna come move by me and we can hang out, and teach me how to homeschool and make my house beautiful?
Nicole
I love how your door turned out! The little sign is great on it...how did you attach it? Trusty glue gun, or something else?
I personally love your music and will keep playing it. If you are ever looking for a great new song check out Van Morrison "These are the days". LOVE IT!!!
Keep up the nesting, you are brilliant!
Well, you can't please everyone for sure, but that seems like the most logical solution to the music dilemma!
Love the "Welcome" sign on your door, and the pillows on your sofa look so comfy, too. -Julia :-)
Horay, I got your comment(comments)... to make one long story short. My little brother went to be with the Lord six years ago in June. He was in an accident right in front of our church. He fought for a few days but didnt make it. He died from trama to his head. After his passing I found myself lost. I could hardly make myself take a shower and see to my three kids. He lived nextdoor to me so it was very hard. After much prayer and my friends begging me I jumped into the world of making stuff out of nothing. I started with copper and made all kinds of mess. The price went up so high I started looking for scraps. I make plaques, house blessings and those beloved tassels. Its a thrill to find Christmas ornaments and turn them into neat tassels. I will make a tassel out of anything I can get my hands on. Its scary but we think alike. I have been selling my "junk" at craft shows for about 6 years now. I do about6 shows a year. It's just enough to keep my mind busy. I only sell at the shows and thought I could give my blog a try. Please know that I would never try to take from your site. I think you are awesome and I love your work. One of your many fans.... Susie H
Coming to your blog is like going to an exclusive botique ... music always sets the stage and invites one to stay just a little longer. I am sorta sad to know the music is not automatic but glad you are still putting out the tunes and letting your readers determine if they want to hear music.
I love your bench with your table! I've been searching for the perfect bench for mine for several years without much luck. Glad to see my decorating guru-genius has brought my vision to reality, now I know I have to find a bench...afterall if "THE NESTER" does it then I can too! LOL
Gonna go click on the picture to see your breadcrumbs now...
Ok now that I've seen the infamous breadcrumbs I have to ask what is the framed picture in the far background of? It looks like some sort of black scrolls... Can you enlighten me dear Nester?
Nester, I discovered your blog a few weeks ago. What a blessing you have been to me! When I take a tea break from homeschooling I love to read your refreshing, funny posts. Then I listen to the rest of your playlist whilst doing online Mahjong solitaire in another window. I love "Beautiful, Scandalous Night" so much I bought a CD it's on. Thanks for the music, but mostly for your words of wit, wisdom and encouragement.
