I LOVE your blog, you have soo many GREAT, creative ideas! I know this is kind of a weird question, but I was hoping you could maybe help me out. Im kinda new to the whole blogger world so...If I am posting a new post to my blog how do I insert a website in that particular post without just posting the actual website itself? Like say for instance I wanted to navigate to your page but on my Post I just wanted to put "Nesting Place" so when I clicked on the name "Nesting Place" it would automatically take me to your blog, how do i do that? Thank you and I hope you can help me because I can't figure it out to save my life!!
I heart urns too and I heart your awesome blog!!! You showed your great Goodwill find (the chair) the other day and said you had to redo your hutch. I remember it had the black and white scrapbook paper before. I want to see what it looks like now! Keep showing the pictures of your cute home!
Thanks for all of the great ideas. I made those wall art things the other day while the kiddos were taking their nap! Check it out....jfourbankhead.blogspot.com. Love your posts! Keep 'em coming!
I have been enjoying your blog for a couple of months.
You do have the cutest ideas ever! I will be ordering one of your tassles soon.
Anyhow, this morning I have been e-mailing your sister and was totally cracking up when I made the connection that I know your Dad. I have a radio program that plays on 91.9.
We'll totally have to do lunch the next time you gals are in town to visit your Dad.
Love the urn, love all your creative ideas. You know everytime you post a great idea, women are following your ideas and rushing out to a store nearby!!!! Since I've started blogging my blog decorating fund has gone way up...or so says hubby! Big smile Thanks, Debbie ribbonwoodcottage.blogspot.com
Love the urn but love the crisp white just as much! And Mrs. Nester, I'm starting my first mistreatment soon. I'll email you when it is done! So excited!
I'm really not trying to use your blog to advertise, I just want you to know I'm doing a big giveaway that I think you might like. A big chandelier, it seems like something you'd like, but maybee I'm way off.
Kaylee and Debbie, I'm going to respond (hope you don't mind Nester) about the links. When you're typing a post type the words you want to be the link, say "Nesting Place" and then highlight (right click and drag over the words), then look up at the top bar where you can change the font, do bold, italics, etc. You'll see a little globe looking thing with what looks like 2 chain links. Click it and a box will pop up. Paste the web address there, then click done (or okay, can't remember which). The words you highlighted should become bold and will now be a linky. You can't click it in the edit window, but if you preview the post, it should work. HTH!
Nester, where's your shop? Is it empty? Is that why there's no link to it? Am I asking too many questions?
The artichoke looks darling in there! I have that same little urn. I got it from a thrift store for cheap, but I think it's actually a Southern Living at Home! Mine has a mini pillar candle and mossy green beaded garland draped around it!
Also, I live in NC, and where is this place you get fabric for such a great price??? I'm doing window treatments for entire house, and I really would love to know! :)
Good thing I read the comments--I thought this was a big urn and had NEVER seen an artichoke so big. Like one artichoke could serve a whole party--if you could find enough stuffing and a big enough oven! Now I will go back and look at it again with new eyes.
PS: I love your blog, your attitude (IDHTP...), your style and your ideas!
nester, I LOVE YOU! seriously. your blog is 100000 percent amazing. i should say your HOME. i wish mine was 1/20000 as cool. BUT, i haven't even been able to read this blog in like a month b/c i work 8327493287498273 hours a day.. ONE day :) when i have my own home :) :) .. keep up the gorgeous work. totally mistreating my shower when I move in sept!
Can you tell me why you don't have your own tv show on HGTV? Or why you don't have a book out on mistreatments? Look at the following you have here on your blog... Imagine having a tv show. You could spread the "Nesterness" all around America!! :)
For real though, you should totally try out for the Next Design Star on HGTV!!
I agree with chseroo. I'd love to see you on Design Star! The contestants weren't exactly impressive this season. I'm sure you could do better. I've been recapping the episodes each week, and last week someone in the comments said, "Nester could do so much better with these challenges." Amen to that!
Hi Nester - Would you mind telling me where you purchase that lovely ribbon with your name on it? I would love to buy some with my name! Thanks! Christinecsal
I am so inspired by you! Not only did I go thrifting and find an urn, but I also used some super cheap scrap book paper to give my TV stand a whole new look (inspired by the scrapbook paper wall hangings). Love it! Come check it out - www.babblingabby.blogspot.com :)
"Nesterness" LOL!!! What a beautiful urn! I have not one single urn in my home (hangs head in utter shame.......) Maybe I should try one instead of a basket....I have too many baskets!!
I just love you blog and of course your ideas!!! In a post not too long ago you had a picture of your dining room and in it was this really cool black chalkboard with a black and gold frame. I hope you don;t mind me asking but...where did you get that?? I would love to find something like that for my kitchen. THANKS
Just found your blog 2 days ago and I have spent a good... 5-6 HOURS on it (seriously!) Wow! I am having so much fun browsing through all your amazing ideas... thank you for sharing!
I had to comment on your Urn post - I saw one of the best uses for them years ago... someone had found some small urns and used them in their bathroom to hold their cosmetic brushes - such a great idea... thought I'd share.
Looking forward to hanging out more at your 'nest'...
