Just kidding. We are not even halfway through. Mercy. 31 days is a long time. But I've got lots more coming. Hope you aren't sick of me yet.
Today we are going to travel deep into the archives. Let's go over the tablescape guidelines and scape a new table or freshen up a tablescape that's been sitting neglected for awhile. See you tomorrow!

Thank goodness! I was hoping we would get around to this one. We just built a new side bar for our dining room (it's today's post on my blog) and I've got the top all fluffied up, but still am not sure about the bottom shelf. Off to browse the "suggested reading". Have a great day!
Off the topic of today's discussion...but that giant topiary is great!
I'm just loving this thirty one days theme! Thank you, thank you, thank you. I can't wait until you post each morning!
hahaha! you're funny!
I want suitcases as decor. *wavingmagicfairywand*
I gotta tell ya...I'm lovin' this 31 days idea. You've been sharing some great pictures and some great advice. Good job!
Thanks for all the great tips......really enjoying the 31 days! Please tell me that in one of your post you will address hanging pictures too high (floating) & above kitchen cabinet accessorizing (stringing everything out along the cabinets to fill ALL of the space) these are two of the mistakes that I see so many do. Hang those pictures low and ground the room & create vinettes that draw the eye. Easy mistakes to make but so simple to fix!
Have a blessed day

Renee--yes, picture hanging is one of our topics--I don't have plans to talk about the above cab. decor--it's one of my pet peeves. People are SO focused on what to put way up there when they could be focusing on things at eye level!
Love shopping the house first! Great series...don't you dare not finish or skip over some numbers thinking we won't notice!

Love that topiary!

Oh lord no! I'm not getting sick of this! My house it coming together quite nice!
Thanks a bunch
I love the video! I find that I am always rearranging when nothing works. When I finally the right look - the hubby comes along and dumps his papers down!
Sigh.....
Your 31 days is truly inspirational! Looking forward to tomorrow's tip!
I think that post was new reading for me. :) Thanks for linking to it! I liked the suggestion of leaning frames against the wall.
I just did a dresser in the bedroom yesterday - mostly by clearing off the non-essentials and putting a frame behind my "favorites" to pull it together! That makes a few little tablescapes around here - on the mantel, on the piano and the dining room table. Trying to figure out some space in the kitchen to do something, but not many flat surfaces in there - wouldn't want it to catch fire on the stove!
Keep 'em comin'. You're doing a fabulous job. Don't grow weary in well-doing, sister.
love ya!
I love the tablescape. I will try to copy it and send it to my daughter in law!!Thanks.
That smilebox was so fun! I loved seeing the many incarnations it took for your table to "get there." More please.
First of all, that was the cutest little song in your smilebox.
Second of all, you have impeccable timing, because we're getting a new table delivered tomorrow. Whee!
I'm LOVING your 31 days. Thanks so much!
This was delightful. I had never heard of Smilebox but I have made a note of it thanks to you. I am getting ready for a Traveling Door show/sale next week but when I have more time I am anxious to try this out. I love your 31 day theme. I did something similar when I was putting my studio together. Funny how setting a deadline gets you motivated. It's looking FAB!
I love the "real life" of the laundry on the table. Whenever I take a pic of a good looking room, I am always tempted to turn around and take a pic of all the junk I had to move to get the room to look so good. Cheers to you!
The lamp is what i liked the most.
