Love the pictures. I want you to do a post on how to keep your kitchen island/bar clutter free and cute! No matter how many times I clean it off it is a magnet for junk. Any ideas and where did you get your kids silhouettes ?

I can more than relate to the "clearly I have nothing else to do" shot. :) I love that shutter!

If I loved you before, I love you way more now. LOL. That was so cute. And real.

Wonder how long you'll leave it like that? Love it!!

hahahah oh that was adorable!

And so realistic.

I'm going to rip off a shutter from a nearby historic home if those thrift stores don't smarten up soon! :D

Love the slide show...It is just to cute for words.

For some reason this cracked me up. The slide show, to that music, just sent me into the giggles. I'm clearly losing it. However, after all of that nonsense, I do love the table, glasses and all!

Christi said...

Love it~ and so glad to see the "stuff" that doesn't belong on the dresser at the end!

Love it! I wish I could find a piece like that for my living room. I have been looking, but can't find one I am willing to shell out the money for. I want a cheap one I can fix up.

Thanks for sharing!

That was great! I loved all the different options! Including passing off on the laundry! :o)

That is really beautiful, I'm so inspired! I loved the slide show, and how you showed how it would realistically look in 5 minutes!

Loved the video! How cute! Now I have that music in my head - time to move onto my tables, buffet, dressers, etc.....

Love all the designs (especially the first with the plates, single lamp etc.)

Love your humor and witt.

Love how "real" you are.

Thanks! Makes me glad to know I'm not the only one with other things I should be doing while I'm reading this blog. ;)

Love this! It is so fun to grab things off shelves and other places in the house and mobilize them on one cute side table or entry table :) Thank you for the inspiration!

Loved this!! :) It's encouraging to know it didn't stay perfect for more than 5 minutes!! LOL! (Sometimes I start to think I'm the only one!)

How funny! You have me in the mood for some Charlie Brown now! Your kitchen table looks like my bedroom floor and clearly I have nothing better to do either! HA!

Sooo funny! With 3 kids of my own, my tablescapes are often "decorated" with their goodies, too!

Hi, I am new to your blog, but love it!! I follow a lot of home decorating blogs, but yours is like a breath of fresh air -- (real air! - not staged). Well sometimes staged, but you show us how real life is with kids and family as well. That's what I like about it. Thanks for sharing all your ideas. I will definitely keep coming back. You are VERY talented and I would love to hire you! -- Heidi (jhlaperle@gmail.com)

This cracks me up! The fact that you're table scaping while your real table is piled as high as a sky scraper with mother duties! Dang it all, isn't that just the time we feel like tablescaping? I see that laundry and can think of at least 101 things better I could be doing on some days. More often than I should I decide instead that a picture frame needs repainting, a dresser needs new knobs, the JoAnn's sale can't wait a minute longer... or, my table needs to be scraped and rescaped. Fantastico girl! Love the pics!

Probably the best smilebox I've ever seen about tablescapes.

Amber said...

I enjoyed your fun little smilebox presentation. The "5 minutes later" ending was my favorite part. :)

Tina said...

my favorite parts: the bottled water and the gun. hateme.

Bunny Jean said...

That is exactly what the other half of my rooms look like when I am doing... what we refer to around here... a "photo shoot".

I drag out all kinds of junk and change stuff over and over... and in the end I usually put back what I started with.

Silly me...

Stacey said...

That is so funny! I love it! Needed a good laugh today!

P.S.
I like all the ideas!

Keep up the inspiration,

And I also liked the Charlie Brown music that played during the Slideshow. It is almost time for the Great Pumpkin!
