OK, so should I leave the coffee splutter as a decorative effect or should I actually clean it up and learn not to sip coffee while checking in at the Nesting Place?

I've painted a frame to work better with the picture in it but it never occured to me to just paint frames to add color! Love it!

Great idea for adding color to a big wall... especially when you are renting and can't paint like you want!!! This must be what you you were talking about the other day on FB! Love it!! Are you going to fill those frames? I like it either way. It definitely makes a statement. Blessings!

Katie Reeder said...

totally singing along...woah, oh oh oh oh.
You're so cute!

Abbie said...

Ok, so I don't get the song joke.

BUT I do get the framing! I've been saving an antique silver spoon since the "framed fork" post in April!

The only thing I've done yet, though, is to lean a frame behind (layering?) several of my favorite things (does that qualify as a group?) on my dresser!

I am still LOVING this series, dear Nester, keep it up! You're doing a great job. Not that you need me to tell you.

Paul & Merideth said...

Help! I have a new 2 story tall wall that needs something on it above my husband's huge 50 inch flat screen. There was an enormous piece of furniture there...a six foot tall piece with a 2.5 foot tall star on top of that. Now we had to move that to make room for this UGLY tv. I was thinking of going to the Habitat store for old doors to hang vertically??? I've not seen that and can't quite picture it or I may try the open frame idea from this post! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks to Julia for at least telling me it's a Beyonce song. I knew I just "wasn't" getting it. Now I'll have to go ask my boys to sing it for me. :)And yes, I just admitted that i am so obviously out of it and feeling really old mama-ish now. :)

I have a question about the black chair in the photo. Is it a Best chair? I bought two for my new house and they are in a yummy fabric of chocolate floral with a camel-taupey background. They cost a forture but they are worth it. I have a special place for them in our new house that we are moving to next week. The house is only 800 miles from my current home. YIKES! I just started a blog to document our move and decorating the house. I have a special place for those chairs. I was just wondering what brand they were. They look identical.

Stephanie said...

Now that song will be stuck in my head for a week! Haha!

Lindsay @ Makely said...

Love! And I love that you painted them a color besides black or white. Perfect!

How would you frame lace? From shopping the house, I realize I have about 6 pieces of vintage lace, crocheted lace collars, lace handkerchiefs, a child's battenburg collar and so on. How would you frame them? I would like to just sandwich them between glass so that the wall showed behind, but I can't figure out how without spending mucho bucks on frames.
Help, please
